Our fresh menus consist exclusively of high-quality, fresh ingredients of human-grade quality. Pure muscle meat and nutrient-rich offal, fresh vegetables and fruits, selected oils and herbs, as well as an easily digestible source of carbohydrates (rice or sweet potato), form perfectly balanced meals for a species-appropriate, varied, and easily digestible diet for your dog.. We consistently avoid preservatives, flavor enhancers, and attractants. The fresh meat and offal are gently steam-cooked at low temperatures, while vegetables and fruits are only briefly blanched – ensuring that even delicate vitamins and minerals are optimally preserved.. In the final step, we refine the menus with high-quality oils and natural ingredients such as rosehip powder, seaweed meal, brewer’s yeast, and algae lime.. FIDELIS Fresh Menus are therefore unique – quite simply: “Better Food” for your dog!. We cook for your dog the same way you would at home.. Disadvantages of other types of dog food. What makes FIDELIS Fresh Menus different from other types of dog food?. Dry food (extruded / cold-pressed):. Often rich in grains, meat meals, and hardened fats. Hardly contains any fresh ingredients. Natural nutrients are lost due to high temperatures, and vitamins are added artificially. Often contains preservatives and flavor enhancers.. Wet food (canned):. Usually made from low-quality meat scraps and artificial additives. Fresh ingredients are almost completely missing. Sterilization at 110–140 °C destroys vitamins and minerals, which are then artificially replaced. Often contains preservatives and flavor enhancers.. B.A.R.F. (raw feeding):. Raw meat is often heavily contaminated with germs – a risk for both dog and owner. Frequently leads to intolerances and health issues. In addition, the protein content of many B.A.R.F. menus is too high.. Feeding recommendation. Feeding recommendation. Puppy up to 8 months: approx. 4%. Dog up to 15 kg: approx. 2 – 3%. Dog over 15 kg: approx. 2 – 3%. The percentage refers to your dog’s body weight. Example: a dog weighing 20 kg with a recommended daily portion of 2% requires 400 g of food per day.. The following values are guidelines for the amount of food for normally active, non-neutered healthy dogs. Individual needs may vary by up to 50% depending on age, breed, or activity level. These are only approximate values to help estimate daily food requirements.. Changing food. Fidelis recommends an immediate food transition. Skip one meal (preferably in the evening) and start directly with our food at the next feeding. Feed only one variety for the first 14 days so your dog’s stomach can get used to the new food. After two weeks, we recommend alternating between different flavors.. Delivery & storage. Our fresh menus are delivered frozen and can be kept frozen for about 6 months.. When refrigerated, they keep for about 5 days in the fridge.. We recommend using opened menus within 2 days.
